That (the presence of snow, not the taste of it) put me in the mood to put away the flip-flops and dig out the winter boots. And the coats and the snowpants. Which of course means the spring jackets had to be washed and sorted and put away. While we were at it, that area of the garage needed to be cleaned out. All in all, what was intended to be a quick switch ended up as an almost all-day job. But we ended up with a few garbage bags full of stuff destined for the thrift store and one for the dump. Now that's what I call exciting.
I had predicted that the next interest would be Lego or Lincoln Logs. I was wrong.
Grandpa will have some pretty stiff competition on his next visit.
The grey weather has left us for now. After having mentally prepared for a long, cold, colourless November, the sunshine and warmish weather has been a treat. Yesterday we took to the fields, followed the creek along, crossed it where the deer have made a path to drink, and then walked back on the other side.
Nadia's vocabulary is expanding every day. When she wants something she points and says, "Want it!" If she really wants something she points and says, "Need!" Don't you think she looks like a woman who knows what she wants?
Over the past few days she's been 'needing' her helmet on - probably with the hope that someone will catch the hint and give her a ride in the bike trailer.
Today was warm enough that Justine did give her a ride. Thomas went too, and tolerated the ride well. That's a sign that his brain is continuing to heal, for which we are thankful.
Well, I'm off to do some mending now. Yesterday yielded one torn sweater, one torn pair of tights, and one torn vest.
'Til next time,
