Happy Birthday, Allison!

If you're thinking that there's been a lot of birthday celebrations around here lately, you're quite right.  Saturday was Allison's 15th. 

Allison was due on the 25th of June, but since Justine had arrived almost two weeks late, we were counting on having to wait for at least another week.  The ladies at church were counting on that, too, and had planned a surprise baby shower at our house on the 26th.  Allie arrived that afternoon, so the surprise was on them. :)  We didn't really miss out, though, because many ladies popped by over the next while to drop off meals that they had planned to give at the shower.

On Saturday morning Allie and I went out and enjoyed a nice chat over a delicious breakfast.  When we got back home, she set to work to bake her own cake, which she wanted served with homemade strawberry jam - yum!

A little moral support to blow out all those candles... :)

Allie has always been a bit of a daddy's girl.  She looks like him and in many ways her character is like his.  But her interest in photography assures me that she's my girl, too. :)
