An update in pictures...

It's late, but so much has happened that I wanted to take a few minutes to share some pictures from the last few days.

The backhoe pulled the block of concrete out successfully...

Today our builder, Jerry, arrived to start framing.  He's done work for us before, and we're impressed with the quality of his work.  He works fast, does a neat job and maintains a clean site.  Plus he's one of those guys who you feel you've known for years. 

He's willing to have us work along side him, which is helping to keep the costs down.  He's good at giving directions and is patient with the kids, but can also kindly let them know their limits.

 

We got a lot done...

Now we're all very tired and all the smart people in this family are already in bed, sleeping. 

I'm heading to bed now, too.
