*Snow*

At last we got some snow. Not enough to sled in or make snowmen :(, nor enough to shovel :), but enough to warrant pulling out the snowpants. But what can you do outside when there's not enough snow to play in?

You can climb up the fallen trees...


Or scrabble up the creek bank...

The little guys crossed the narrow bridge, thankfully without falling off...

Why do moms worry about these things? Little boys sure don't!


This next picture is a close-up of a fallen tree with fungus growing on it. At the top right of the picture you can see evidence of emerald ash borers, the culprits that caused this tree, and many like it around here, to die.

There is always something beautiful to appreciate around us, although sometimes we have to really look for it...
